Badoo.com is one of the world’s most popular free dating sites, and quite possibly the most widely used on a global scale. Currently, they boast over 317 million members in 180 countries all around the world. Many people also use it to find new friends without all the pressure of dating and romance.
Unlike some “free” dating sites that won’t let you communicate with other members unless you sign up for a premium subscription, all you have to do to be able to search profiles, chat and match with other users is to create a Badoo account. Signing up on Badoo is fast, easy and 100% free – there are a few optional premium services you can pay for, but anywhere from 80-95% of Badoo users do just fine using the very extensive free services on the site. Here, we’ll walk you through the process of creating a Badoo account step by step.
Create a Badoo account
You have the option to sign up for Badoo on your computer or using their mobile application for iPhone, Android or Windows Phone. For computer, go online and go to the Badoo homepage at badoo.com. For mobile sign up, find the official Badoo app in your device’s official app store, download and open the app.
From here, the Badoo sign up process is roughly the same no matter what device you’re using. The easiest option is to link your Badoo account to another social account you already have, like Facebook, Twitter or MSN. For this option, just click on the button at the top of the sign up form that corresponds to the social network account you want to use. Any information you have on your existing profile will be used to automatically help fill in your Badoo profile.
Badoo will ask to search your email contacts for people who are also using Badoo. If you want to connect with these people, just enter your email address and the password for your email so your contacts can be added. You can skip this step for now if you want by clicking on the “skip it” button at the bottom of the screen.
The next thing they’ll do is ask you to upload a profile picture, which will obviously increase your chances of being contacted by someone. If you want to do this later, just click “I’ll upload photos later”.
Confirming your Badoo account
The last step in the sign up process is to check the email you used to sign up. You should find a verification email with a link that you’ll need to click to get your new Badoo account up and running. Obviously, if you used Facebook, Twitter or MSN signup, this doesn’t apply to you. In fact, on the page telling you to check your email, you’ll have another opportunity to sign in with Facebook for instant registration. It’s up to you!
After verifying your account, make sure to take some time to fill out your profile to increase your chances of meeting cool new people. Make sure to take advantage of fun features like “Encounters” (which is kind of like “hot or not”) and “People nearby”. Good luck!
