Amazon is one of the top online shopping websites, with a huge range of books, electronics, furniture, and clothing to choose from, plus almost anything else you can think of. Browsing Amazon pages doesn’t need registration. But you’ll have to set up an account. It only takes a few minutes to purchase or sell items, or if you want to make an Amazon account you can create wish lists and get personalized recommendations. Creating an Amazon account is the easiest way to do your online shopping, and it just takes a couple minutes.
Create a Amazon account
You can create an Amazon account from their website at amazon.com (hover over the “Your Account” link and click “New Customer? Start Here”, or download the mobile app from Play Store for Android or the App Store for iOS.
On the registration page, if you already have an Amazon account, you only need to sign in; if you don’t, you will be asked to enter some basic information, like your name and email address (for web registration) or your mobile phone number (for mobile app registration), or you can choose “Use Your Email Instead” and subscribe with your email address. Choose a good password for your account that is at least 6 characters.
Finally, tap the yellow “Create Your Amazon Account” button, and you’re done!
Note that using your phone number provides better protection for your account. You won’t receive any calls from Amazon; it’s only used for security purposes.
How to use your Amazon account
As soon as your account is created, it’s time to explore the Amazon website and/or mobile app. On the website, everything you need to manage your account, personal information, settings, and orders can be found by hovering your cursor over the “Your Account” link in the upper right-hand corner.
For mobile, tap on the upper left corner to find a menu, where you’ll find a list of all the important things that will make it easier for you to use the app, like Shop By Department, Today’s Deals, and Gift Cards, Your Orders, Your Account, Recently Viewed Items, Wish List, Recommendations, and more. In the app’s options, you can also Change Country, Notifications, Customer Service, and other options. Select “Customer Service” to go to your account management page where you can manage your orders, return and exchange items, change your account settings, manage your Amazon Prime membership, and anything else related to your account.
To decide which method of payment you prefer, go to “Payment Options” then go to “Add a Aredit Aard”, where you’ll find a list of accepted credit cards. To save a credit card for convenient, one-click shopping, enter your card’s number, expiration date, the cardholder’s name and billing address. And that’s it! Now, you can purchase any of the items offered at Amazon shopping website, simply and easily; just scroll, choose, and purchase. Note: you don’t have to have a payment method saved – you can choose to enter your card number manually every time you make a purchase in your Amazon account instead.
